Before you open a bank account you must find the right bank, which will satisfy your requirements. Some banks also have various advantageous programmes. You need your citizens id. card or passport (some banks also require a photocopy) if you wish to open a bank account. The bank will open a current account or equivalent product on the basis of the client’s request. The bank will prepare a contract on establishing and maintaining a current account, which also includes the terms and conditions for maintaining the account and the bank’s price list (rate scale). As for other contracts it is recommended that you familiarise yourself with the terms and conditions and rates (prices) for services before signing the contract to prevent any confusion and subsequent surprises.
