The GUMOTEX Company is a manufacturing and trade organization that has been on the domestic and international markets for more than 50 years. The company has been in the manufacturing business since 1950, adopting the corporate name of GUMOTEX in 1952. It is presently the largest Czech manufacturer and provider of polyurethane-based foams and it is also active in rubbers and plastics.  GUMOTEX occupies a prestigious position among Czech export companies.
Economy
GUMOTEX's principal business partners are customers from the furniture and automobile manufacturing sectors. The annual financial gross turnover of the company hovers at around the CZK 2 billion mark, where roughly one-half of the annual production is exported.  In terms of export quantity, GUMOTEX ranks among the 50 largest Czech exporters.  The company is quality-certified under ISO 9001, as well as the standards applied in the automotive industry under VDA 6.1 and QS 9000 norms, in 2002 re-certified according to ISO/TS 16949.

Product portfolio

GUMOTEX manufactures polyurethane-based foams under the brand name of MOLITAN® and products made from it, mainly bed mattresses or latexfoam, parts for the automobile industry, shaped pieces for furniture upholstery, surface finish materials and products based from them, especially inflatable kayaks, canoes and rafts for general and special uses, inflatable mattresses, lounge chairs, pillows and special products for industry and retail.
It further manufactures surface finish textiles, especially waterproof vapor permeability textiles under the brand name POROTEX®.
For the automotive industry, the company produces filler for car seats, head rests, sun visors and various interior parts.

Points of Interest

The company GUMOTEX is a member of the Responsible Care program since 1995 “Responsible and Ethical business practices in the chemical industry” in the area of ecology.  This program is under the auspices of the Czech Chemical Association of which GUMOTEX is a member.
